This item was sent back. It was terrible. I have one that is 25 years old with metal dies. I thought the nylon would be better for watch repairs. I could not get even a thin watch between the dies. the lever would not go up enough. I tried with several watches. It was useless.

The watch case press worked well, but wish it had come with some instructions. I am a novice.

Works as expected.
I used it to close a Skagen 233XSMM after replacing the battery. None of the local jewelry dealers wanted to touch it, they all claimed that the crystal is to easy to break. I didn’t have any problems closing it with this tool.
There are instructions on line, look for “Watch repair tool guide” under “Little David.” Make sure you use the appropriate dies and that the watch is properly seated on the bottom die (look from above, make sure the die and the watch are centered). There is significant friction between the handle and the base (this is why I gave it ONLY 4 stars) so you have to be careful while applying pressure.
I read Mary Ellyn Nord’s review before buying this tool and it took me a while to decide to buy it. I don’t have a 25 years experience, this is my first watch I closed with a press, but my experience with this tool is so different.

This is a good tool. No instructions but you can figure it out. I’ve used it a few times now. I made sure to tell all my friends that I have it so they can benefit someday. This is not one you use very frequently.
